September 5 Devotional

September 5 Read Acts 7:22 ...

And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds.

Have you ever considered that being well educated and gaining knowledge could make you "mighty"? There is a saying that "knowledge is power," and it is true. Knowing the right words to say, and how to say them. Knowing history and science and math, art, music, life sciences, and computers -- all of these skills make you stronger and more powerful as a person. Being physically fit makes you more powerful, because you stay healthy and actually feel better and stronger.

It is a lot of work to study and go to school and apply yourself as much as possible. It takes discipline to exercise or participate in sports, or to practice a musical instrument or your typing skills. But it is all worth the effort, because it makes you stronger as a person, and that pleases God. It is His will for your life… that you be the best, strongest, smartest, most powerful person you can possibly be.

So what are you waiting for? How powerful are you?
